MEJI MEJI
Meji Meji is a feminine-forward Afrocentric fashion brand redefining Black style through culture and storytelling. My work focused on identifying these inherent market advantages and translating them into clearly defined brand pillars. Through the development of a cohesive brand bible and strategically aligned campaign elements, I strengthened Meji Meji’s positioning across international markets, enabling the brand to communicate with clarity, confidence, and cultural integrity—ultimately deepening engagement and recognition across the global African diaspora.

Stargirl
January 2023-2024
Star Girl was a creative strategy–led campaign to grow Meji Meji’s femme audience by translating diasporic expressions of beauty into a cohesive, identity-driven narrative. Launched during Women’s History Month, it unified product design, paid media, and cultural partnerships—across social, PR gifting, a podcast series, and a short film with @yung.nollywood—to build lasting brand equity.
Heritage
February 2023-2024
anniversary
Using the brand's Nigerian heritage, I unified a central campaign centered around scheduled activations and product launches. This featured Afrobeats artist placements, a Nike-sponsored Jollof basketball tournament jersey, and a pop-up in Nigeria. By aligning storytelling and timing, I strengthened the brand narrative while expanding its audience beyond its traditionally female-skewing market
July - August 2025
I led Meji Meji’s five-year anniversary campaign, focused on rebuilding and growing the brand’s NYC audience. I oversaw all assets and marketing, including a supporting partnership with Nigerian-owned skincare brand Topicals. Together, we created a co-branded shirt that blended Topicals’ commitment to authentic skincare with Meji Meji’s bold fashion voice, amplifying local cultural relevance and engagement across fashion and beauty.

Street souk x complexcon
November 2024
As part of the Heritage campaign, Meji Meji partnered with Street Souk—the largest streetwear convention in Africa—to create a co-branded t-shirt for their appearance at ComplexCon. I led the co-branded digital campaign and supported Streetsouk’s booth as a production assistant.
MEJI MEJI BLOCK Party
August 2025
I led the concept and execution of a community-focused pop-up in Bed-Stuy to celebrate Meji Meji’s fifth anniversary and Brooklyn origins. In partnership with Sincerely Tommy, an iconic local fashion retailer, and Lady Moo Moo, a locally loved ice cream shop, we produced a block-party–style activation featuring free ice cream, Topicals lip salve giveaways, and well-known Brooklyn-based DJs. The experience deepened the brand’s connection to the NYC community while amplifying awareness of its bold, cheeky personality.
